Which beaches are near Port Edward, Leisure Bay and Glenmore?
Kidds Beach in Leisure Bay has a shallow bathing area, and T.O. Strand is a large flat beach. On windy days, Peter Pan Bay and Drakes Bay are more sheltered.

When can we see whales and the sardine run?
Humpback whales pass close inshore in the winter months, May to August, and the sardine run usually arrives in the same window. On 2 September one year, a humpback mother and her calf spent some time about 250 m out to sea, just off Leisure Bay. Dolphins feed on the sardine shoals as they move up the coast.
